Garver Hall

Garver Hall, named in honor of former professor and dean Earl S. Garver, is a traditional, co-ed hall that houses 140 men and 120 women in two wings joined by a common lobby/recreational area.  The restrooms on each floor of Garver were renovated during the summer of 2004.  Seven Resident Assistants staff the building, one on each floor.

Garver Hall has a television lounge and a recreation area with a ping-pong table, air hockey table, pool table, foosball table, and video games.  There are vending machines and an ice machine on the ground level.  There are microwaves in study rooms located on each wing.  Garver Hall also has two laundry facilities located on the ground level.  Air conditioning is available in every resident's room.

Garver Hall has always been a hall leader in the Homecoming competitions, as well as organizing several traditional activities including:

  • Garver Feud
  • Dodgeball Tournament
  • Penny Wars to sponsor families for Christmas
  • Haunted Garver for community trick-or-treaters
  • All Hall Picnic and Shoe Throwing Ceremony
  • 70s and 80s Parties
