Pre-professionals of Science (PPS)
The Pre-Professionals of Science club (PPS) helps students interested in
becoming science professionals (physicians, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists,
optometrists, etc.) to prepare themselves to achieve their goals with organization and
confidence. The club can help students participate in activities (internships, service)
viewed positively by graduate schools and be more aware of how to better prepare for the
professional admissions tests, interviews, and graduate school itself.
PPS, as a group of
students with a common goal, is also a support group to keep spirits high through fun
activities when the path of becoming a professional gets rough. The long-term goals of the
club are to help students find their path, stick to their dreams, and eventually increase the
number of students at Manchester University that take professional school admittance tests
and succeed in being accepted to professional graduate schools ... all while having some fun
in the process!
There is a yearly $5 membership fee that helps us pay for events for the club. It also gets you free food at meetings and banquets as well as discounts on social events all year! If you are interested in joining, contact the PPS advisor, Dr. Jeff Osborne, at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit him on the 3rd floor of the Science Center.
