Why attend MU: I fell in love with the campus atmosphere during my first visit. Everyone was friendly and I liked the idea of learning in a classroom setting that is smaller and more personal than those at larger schools. Thus, I felt extremely comfortable at MU because I knew that I wouldn't be treated as if I was "just another number."
Favorite thing: The people. At MU, I've made friends that will last a lifetime (it sounds cliché, but its completely true). Also, the professors here are friendly, caring and helpful. They encourage students to ask questions and they are always willing to meet outside of class.
Never expected: This question is tough because I've done many things at MU that I never expected to do. For instance, I studied abroad in Australia, filmed a documentary for class at a protest in Georgia, co-hosted a radio show, broadcasted baseball and football games on campus, and became an English minor. And the list goes on...
I found: my place. I'm surrounded by so many amazing individuals at a school with endless opportunities for success. And I couldn't be any happier.
