Why attend MU: I truly believe that Manchester picked me. Being the first in my family to attend college, I didn’t know exactly where I wanted to go. I kept my options opened and visited many schools. However, as soon as I stepped foot on the Manchester campus I instantly found my second home. Coming from a small town, North Manchester was perfect for me. The atmosphere of campus was unlike any other campus I visited. It combines all of its history with all the promise of the future. The faculty and staff actually care about your future and you as a person. At Manchester I’m not a number I am a person. At Manchester I am accepted for who I am and who I will become and that is why I love it here :]
Favorite thing: My favorite thing about being an MU student is that I can share my passions with people in the same major and people who don’t necessarily enjoy History. I love opening peoples’ eyes to what History has to offer. It is History that makes us who we are today. Being the Historian of the History Club here at Manchester, it is my job to document and share what History Club is all about, bring people together to show that History can actually be a lot of fun!
Never expected: I never expected that there would be so many ways for me to get involved. I was the Secretary, now Historian of the History Club. And I have two jobs here on campus as an Assistant Librarian and as a Student Ambassador.
I found: Opportunity. The Opportunity to be my True Self, to find Life-Long Friends, to Experience the World at first hand, and to Follow My Dreams.
