POWERHOUSE 2012: Welcome

Greetings!

It's time for year three of Powerhouse, the regional youth conference for youth in the Midwest. This year's edition will take place Nov. 10-11 at Manchester University (formerly Manchester College) in North Manchester, Ind. We hope you can join us for this exciting weekend..

On these pages you will find a variety of information and forms needed for each participant to register. All forms must be completed for participants to attend. Forms should be downloaded, printed, and mailed to the college when completed; make enough copies so that each participant has one copy of each form.

Cost this year again will be $50 for youth participants, with a discounted rate of $40 for advisors. A late fee of $10 applies after for registrations received after Nov. 2 (for extenuating circumstances, please contact us).

Our meals will again be in the Student Union, and we're planning an exciting array of workshops, a unique Saturday evening scavenger hunt, and other activities. The keynote speaker for our three worship times will be Josh Brockway, director of spiritual formation for the Church of the Brethren (and a Manchester alum!). He will share perspectives on our conference theme, "Hello, My Name Is ... : Getting to Know God," which will draw on Exodus 3 and other texts as we explore some of the names and aspects of God. We want it to be a weekend full of energy and inspiration!

If your group is coming from a distance and needs a place to stay in the area Friday night, please contact us and we can help you make arrangements with local congregations. Please be in prayer for this event, encourage your youth and advisors to attend, and start thinking about who God is to you.
