For those in the stands, cheering for great teams is a high point of college life. And for those who participate, playing college sports can open a world of opportunities.

Take Melissa Bruns, Class of 2007. The Manchester soccer team became her second family during the preseason of her first year, and she never looked back. She says being on the team gave her inner strength and taught her to be outgoing, and that these qualities have translated to other areas of her life. Melissa’s highlight? Traveling to Australia during the summer to play soccer.

Recent Highlights
For three straight years, Manchester College has won the HCAC Women’s All-Sports trophy. In 2006, Manchester College was awarded the Conference Commissioner Cup for best combined performance by men’s and women’s teams.

Baseball
Manchester has had six NCAA All-Americans in the past six seasons. During that time, the team has had the best winning percentage of any Indiana college and has qualified for the National Tournament in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Women’s Tennis
In 2006, Manchester’s women’s tennis team won the HCAC Championship and qualified for the National Tournament. Four players were named to the All-Conference Team.

Women’s Golf
In May 2007, the Women’s golf team competed for the first time in the NCAA National Championship tournament.
