| Manchester College is a great choice for those who are competitive in a sport, but wish to balance teamwork with schoolwork. Manchester competes in the NCAA Division III Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) with nine men’s and eight women’s varsity teams.
For those in the stands, cheering for great teams is a high point of college life. And for those who participate, playing college sports can open a world of opportunities.
Jordon Knox, Class of 2011, is doing more than he ever expected. First, he qualified for a varsity spot on the wrestling team and went on to compete at Regionals. Then a professor recommended he participate in a Conference for Future Professionals, an event usually reserved for juniors and seniors. Add to that, Jordon helped organize Read Across America and Jump Rope for Heart day at a nearby elementary school.
