FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Representatives from about 60 colleges and universities will come together for the Fort Wayne Regional College Fair on Oct. 13.
This event on a Tuesday night offers area high school and middle school students, as well as interested adults, a chance to find out more about options after high school graduation.
Representatives from the military are also taking part.
The fair is 6 to 7:30 p.m., preceded by a financial and scholarship presentation at 5:30. The session will help students and their families understand what aid is available and how to begin the application process.
There is also an “Ask the Experts” panel at 6:30 p.m., where representatives from various universities will answer questions from students and family members.
The college fair is free and no registration is required.
All events will take place in the Mirro Center, 10622 Parkview Plaza Drive. It is just east of Interstate 69 near the Dupont Road exit, next door to the Manchester University Fort Wayne Campus.
The event is hosted by Manchester University and sanctioned by the Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling. The event is presented in cooperation with ISM College Planning, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., Promise Indiana, Questa and Vision 2020.
A wide range of postsecondary schools will be represented with two-year, four-year, technical, public and private schools planning to attend.
Institutions that have indicated they will take part include: Adrian College, Anderson University, Aquinas College, The Art Institutes, Ball State University, Bethel College, Calvin College, Central Michigan University, Cincinnati Christian University, Defiance College, DePauw University, Dominican University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Findlay University, Franklin College, Goshen College, Hanover College, Heidelberg University, Hillsdale College, Holy Cross College, Hope College, Huntington University, Indiana Tech, Indiana Wesleyan University, IPFW, IU Kelley School of Business-Indianapolis, IUPUI, Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, Johnson & Wales University, Kettering University, Lake Michigan College, Lourdes University, Manchester University, Manchester University College of Pharmacy, Marian University, NorthWood University, Purdue Army ROTC, Purdue University, Saint Joseph's College, Saint Louis University, Saint Mary of the Woods, Saint Mary's College, Taylor University, Trine University, University of Alabama, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, University of Evansville, University Of Louisville, University of Notre Dame, University of Saint Francis, University of Southern Indiana, University of Toledo, Ursuline College, Valparaiso University, Vincennes University and Xavier University.
