 In this 9/29/1980 ceremony, Donald F. Durnbaugh receives the degree, Doctor of Humane Letters.  The degree is conferred by President Helman. Dr. Durnbaugh then gives the presentation, "Confessions of a Searcher."

Dr. Floyd Durnbaugh is an alumnus of Manchester College. 

Dr. Durnbaugh uses the word "confession" in terms of being a testimony or witness.

Archivist Note

Reel-to-reel audio tape transferred to CD by Instructional Technologies Department in December 2010 or January 2011.  Following creation of the Wave Sound file the reel-to-reel tape was discarded due to its age and possibility for deterioration.

Cassette Tape #83 records the event from the opening organ processional.  It was discarded after digitization.
