Bio History Note

This lectureship was first created at Manchester College on 14 March 2003 by Jane E. Henney ('69, M.D.), along with family and friends, in honor of Harry Henney's, her father's, 90th birthday. The lectureship was to celebrate Harry's service to education and to his community.  In 2010, on Jeanette Henney's 90th birthday, Jeanette's name was added to the lectureship.

The following Information is From Wikipedia regarding Jane Henney:  Dr. Henney is an American physician who was the first woman to serve as commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  She was appointed by President Bill Clinton.
