Bio History Note

This is a very interesting issue because of the variety of topics covered.

  • It publishes student ideas for college songs,
  • it reports that the Senior Class of 1925 presented a Baldwin Grand Piano to the College as a Class gift,
  • the College quartette broadcasted a program from the WLS Radio Sation in Chicago which was greatly appeciated by the radio audience,
  • a novel way for listening to President Coolidge give his inaugural address was described,
  • a long vignette was written about Harry Lynn Sheller, student and editor of the Oak Leaves,
  • and other very interesting articles.
Archivist Note

Provenance:  Anne Garber, wife of Jim Garber, dropped this newspaper off at the Front Desk of Funderburg Library with a note:

Kendall sisters

Crystal (1927 MC)

Thelma (1928 MC)

Lavone (1934 MC)

The sister of the Kendalls was sorting through momentos at her California home and found his issue of "Oak Leaves."  She forwarded the issue to me.  Would the archives be interested?
