Scope and Content

The Geneva Burrous Chamberlain collection.  Photo album and memorabilia.

1. The album kept during Geneva's college years until her graduation in 1925.  The album is missing a couple of family photos that were removed by Carol Boyer before donating the album to the Archives.

2.  A Commencement program for Clay Township High School, 1929.  Miss Burrous gave a vocal solo at the ceremony.

3.  One photo of Geneva's graduating class?  (Is Geneva the second person on the first row from the left?).

4.  Photograph of orchestra.  Geneva Burrous is in the center of the back back row.  The picture was taken in  Clay Township, Indiana during 1925 - 28 or 1930 - 32.

5.  Photo of High School Band of Howard County, Spring 1930.  The Archivist believes Geneva must be the director of the group.

6. Obituary from the News - Journal newspaper, 13 April, 2001.

7.  Three rolled photographs - one in tatters - one torn through the middle - too fragile to unroll.  One is of a large group of students in front of a building. Her niece thinks the building might be Oakwood Hall.
