  • "Moderator Delivers Message," For the First TIme in History of Church Incoming Presiding Officer Brings Authorized Sermon to Delegates.  Reviewing Matters of Business in Prospect."
    • Fort the first time in the history of the Church of the Brethren the delegates and others heard a sermon Tuesday morning by the incoming Moderator, Dr. Otho Winger, which had been authorized by an act of conference. Last year at Hershey a decision was passed changing the manner of choosing the Moderator and directing that he shall deliver a sermon or address to the delegates. Moderator Winger's message was a most timely one and one worthy of wide reading." The paper prints it in full.
