Bio History Note

Bertha Miller Neher Stine was a Church of the Brethren teacher, minister and author.  She was the sister to Ida Miller, the wife of Manchester College President, Otho Winger.  See also, The Brethren Encyclopedia: Bertha Miller Neher Stine.

It appears as if Bertha went on a tour to France, Belgium, Holland, England, Italy and to the Holy Lands in 1927.

An Excerpt:

Am so tired of wholesale cooking, even if it is served in courses by uniformed waiters.  Never want to see cauliflower again.
