Bio History Note

An address was given by Mount Morris academy alumnus, Professor Sylvester A. Long.  "Today there is an unparralleled demand for intelligent, magnanimous, principled service.  No man has a moral right to be any less intelligent than her must.  The farmer, too, has this challenge.  He must not only make a living but feed the world at the lowest possible cost.  The day of the independent farmer, merchant or mechanic is past..  Compulsory education is a moral fact....."
