Bio History NoteFlorence King was a graduate of Mount Morris College (1891).  Florence was the United State's first woman patent attorney.  Upon her death she was the only woman who ever won a case before the United States Supreme Court.  She also was president of the National Woman's Association of Commerce.  She gained fame in 1921 by opposing the campaign among women to have a woman sit at the international conference on disarmament at Washington.  She was born in Iowa and resided in Chicago, Illinois.
