Bio History NoteIn 1998 a threatening e-mail message was sent to nearly every minority and international student at the College.  It was sent off-campus through an e-mail forwarding service in California in order to make it anonymous.  These materials record the events and circumstances surrounding that time.  The College President pledged that the College would do whatever it could to address the challenges it was facing and to insure that the College is a place where "EVERY student, faculty, staff, and family member can feel comfortable and supported, and at home in a College and town where each person matters."
Archivist Note

Two Memos, one from 18 May 1998 and one dated 20 MNarch 1998 were already in the Archives, Large Box 114.  Their source is unknown.

The Memo from 11 March 1998, newspaper clippings and copies of the Oak Leaves were transferred to the Archives by Thelma Rohrer in August 2011.
