Bio History Note

Manchester College students attend convocations as part of their graduation requirements.  Convocations are offered each Monday morning at 10 am as well as at different times throughout each semester.

Convocation 689, Dr. Manning Marable's lecture on Martin Luther King Jr., took place on January 19, 1988.  Dr. Marable was a professor of sociology and political science and senior scholar of Afro-American studies at Purdue University and later became chairperson of the Department of Black Studies at The Ohio State University.
