Scope and Content

Institutional Research: The Doctors among us.

1. 1984 Kokomo Tribune article, "State Colleges Rank With Best," recording rank of schools according to the percentage of graduates completing doctoral work.  Manchester College was in 52nd place putting the school in a list of the top 100 private schools in graduates who continue on to receive doctoral degrees.

2.  1989 News Release telling that a study of the baccalaureate origins of the Ph.D. degrees from 1920 - 1980 shows Manchester College at a rank of 60 among the 1150 colleges studied nationwide.

3.  1993 newspaper article reporting Manchester's rank.

4.  "The Doctors Among Us" report on the number and kind of doctorates granted to Manchester College alumni from pre-1900 through 2004.

5. Culver Citizen, 1 February 1984, "College Listed Among Top 100 Private Schools in Graduates Continuing to PH.D'S."

6. Berne Daily Witrness, 27 January 1984, "Manchester College Listed," .... is among an elite number of independent colleges and universities whose whose graduates continue to receive Ph.D. degrees.
