Correspondence and newsletters.

As Director of Camp Alexander Mack in Milford, Indiana, L.W. Shultz sponsored the tours of the Cotton Blossom Singers of The Piney Woods Country Life School, located in Piney Woods, Mississippi.  He also spoke at Piney Woods on several occasions.  

Piney Woods Country Life School was founded in 1910 by Laurence C. Jones for the education of African-American students.

L.W. Shultz worked at Manchester College in various positions (Librarian, Mathematics, Religious Education, Principal of Preparatory Department, Academy, Modern Languages) during the years 1924-1943.

Date of Accession: Unknown.

Ed Cable donated the Fortieth Anniversary edition 1910-11 - 1950-51  of "A Pictoral History of The Piney Woods County Life School,"  It was added to the L. W. Shultz collection by Jeanine Wine 24 October 2014.
