Scope and Content
  • A Cappella Choir 27 May 1947 audio discs record, "I Want To Be Ready." [A Cappella Choir and previous recordings]
  • A Cappella Choir, Clyde Holsinger, Director, 1947 May 27, recorded by Irvin M. Hoff, "All Through the Night," soloist, Delbert Blickenstaff - "Russian Picnic," soloist, George Haney.  Other records in 78 rpm format, dated 1 June 1947,exist of Ave Maria, I Want to e ready, The Lord Bless You and Keep You, Ave Maria/Fanfare (recorded by Hoff), Russian Picnic (recorded by Hoff), All Through the Night (recorded by Hoff). Perhaps this is why there are more than one recording of each, and of varying quality, since each record would be of a different quality. HOWEVER, ALL of the versions have been dated 1947 May, even though some may have been recorded in June of that year. Without a lot of time, and record player to evaluate each recording, it is difficult to achieve an exact date.
