Bio History Note

Professor Bruce I. Book taught at Manchester College from 1900 - 1914 and died  7 September 1929.  During Mr. Book's tenure at the College he taught Literature, English, Manual Arts, French, Modern Langauges and also served as a Librarian.

Professor Book's daughter, Beulah Book, established an endowment for the Foreign Language Department to help with faculty development and other departmental needs.  The original gift was in the form of a charitable gift annuity .  Beulah died in 2009.  The department will set-up the benefits of this fund during the 2010-211 academic year.
