Bio History Note

A.A.F.R.O. stands for Afro-Americans Forming Rightful Objectives.

When submitting these materials for inclusion in the Archives, Michael Dixon (Director of Intercultural Services) and Jasmine Espino-Muniz (Summer Multicultural Affairs Programmer) wrote a statement regarding their importance.  Following is an excerpt from that statement.  The original statement can be found in the Transfer Agreement file - Folder: Office of Multicultural Affairs.

We, at the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), believe that these items should be included into the archives at Manchester University.  These documents show the past of the office as well as the intercultural Center.  They share the circumstances in which the AAFRO House was created and the dynamic changes it endured to change into the intercultural Center and developing OMA.
