Scope and ContentA documented paper and timeline describing the Manchester College Involvement in Relief and Rehabilitation Activities Following World War II. It begins with the Foreign Relief and Rehabilitation Project announced by Lewis Hershey, Director of Selective Service, and mentions Manchester College as the site of one of the training side camps for Conscientious Objectors. It mentions the involvement of Andrew Cordier, Charles P. Taft, Ernest Wampler, John Elder, Cyrus and Harold Kiracofe, Rev. and John Deaton, Dan West, Gladdys Muir and many others. Organizations such as the United Nations, the Post-War Planning Commission, the Student Volunteer Movement, and Students for Federal World Government are cited. The paper ends with the formation of Dan West's course entitled, "Bases for Enduring Peace" and Gladdys Muir's arrival on campus.
