Bio History Note

President A. Blair Helman introduces Dr. Phillip H. Hauser, who is an eminent authority on urban studies and population growth.  At the time of his presentation he was serving as Professor of Sociology and Director of the Popoulation Research and Training Center and the Chicago Community Inventory, at the University of Chicago.

Since Helman gives the introduction the presentation was given prior to 1986.  The date on the box containing the recording is that of 23 November 1970.

Digital copy made by MU Information Technology Services October 2013. Reel-to-reel audio tape discarded November 2016 by Jeanine Wine because the best digital copy had been made and the tape was in the state of deterioration.
