Scope and Content

Photographs of music related classrooms as well as choral and instrumental groups spanning 1900 through the 1970's.

a.  1956-1957 A Cappella Choir as seen in  the 1957 Aurora.

b.  1964-1965 Sumphony Orchestra, Concert Master, Vernon Stinebaugh as seen in the 1965 Aurora.

c.  Rice's Studio, North Manchester, choir and small orchestral group circa 1900?

d.  The Ideal Music Chart shown behind the piano in this photograph of insructor and choral group (circa 1900?).  It this taken at North Manchester or at Mount Morris College.  Church of the Brethren prayer coverings are worn by some women and the pianist wears a monocle.

e. Cantata 1901-1902 - few if NO prayer covering.  Note: S.P. Early - taught Elocution and Physical Culture 1899-1901.  C. S. Ikenberry taught Vocal Music, Voice Culture and Harmony.

f. Professor Clyde Holsinger conducts orchestra as a vocalist sings.

g.  Pianist, cellist, and third musician with viola or violin.
