President Parker Marden opens the ceremonies. Lana Groombridge, athletics professor, makes a presentation. Assistant to the campus pastor gives the invocation: Melissa Bennett. Donors, Leicester Brown and Jean Brown, are honored. Sammy Spartan helps to break the ground. Trees were not destroyed during the building project, but were moved at the time of groundbreaking to other campus locations.
