One book of a scriptural nature.

At first glance this book written in German appears to be a Bible containing the Buck family record of births, 1818-1937. A date of 1781 is written on the first printed page and the date of 7, Jul, 1781 is printed on the last page of the forward following the name of the author. Further inspection indicates that this is not a bible - but another type of publication related to primarily Old Testament scriptures.

"Mrs Mary Buck," is handwritten on page opposite of back cover. A Manchester College Brethren Historical Library label is pasted on the back interior cover stating that the book is a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ulrey.

The date of April 17, 1781 is handwritten on the first page of the book.

The preliminary pages of the book contain handwritten notes listing dates of the birth of children.

For further research - the archivist believes that Mrs. Calvin Ulrey MIGHT be related to the "Buck" family.  More research is needed in this area.
