ProvenanceDan West's son and daughter, Steve West and Jan West Schrock, gave these materials to Peggy Reiff Miller. It was their understanding that Peggy would intrust them to a good home.
Scope and Content

1.  Photograph of the Quartermaster Corp.

2.  Manchester College "Aurora" yearbooks, 1916, 1917, with autographs.  1916 "Aurora" contains 1926 political cartoon reflecting the effect of law manipulation on the U. S. prison system.

3. Copy of 1939 letter written by Dan West to L. S. Shively, regarding the dispute between Manchester College and Professor Haffner. The letter also concerns President Winger and his relationship with the Board of Trustees.

4.  Outline, "Moral Equivalent of War," First Meeting of the 100 Dunkards at Manchester College, 23-24 January 1932.

Description of photograph by Peggy Reiff Miller: "- a photo of a WWI Quartermaster Corp camp in South Carolina that I'm assuming he (Dan West) was in and discharged from, as the Quartermaster Corp was his (West's) last placement while he was in the army."
