Brethren in Historical and Theological Perspectives with Dale Brown - description from the back of the VHS tape box:

"'Brethren in Historical and Theological Perspectives' is a 20-session series taught by Professor Emeritus Dale Brown, who retired from teaching in 1994.  Dale shares insights from the many discussions he encountered in the more than 30 years he taught the course at Bethany Theological Seminary.

Rather than an abundance of data, the focus of the series is on the theos, the spirit of the Brethren.  As students consider the historical context and contemporary manifestation of Brethren life and thought, they also begin to share their personal experiences.  When this happens, the Brethren heritage comes alive and the ultimate goal of the course is achieved. '"

Produced and edited by David Sollenberger."

Host, Theresa Eshbach.

Camera Assistance, Chris Whitacre.

Consultants, Rick Gardner and Fumitaka Matsuoka."

"Produced for the Office of Institutional Advancement of Bethany Theological Seminary and the Bethany Academy for Ministry Training."

"This project was made possible through a generous gift from Milford Beeghly of Pierson, Iowa, with additional support provided by the Bethany Academy for Ministry Training of Bethany Theological Seminary."

Archivist NoteDescription prepared by Haley Steinhilber, student worker in the archives, 15 June 2016 and edited by Jeanine Wine. Digital copies of VHS tapes (MP4 Files) were created by Manchester University Department of Instructional Technologies in 2016.  VHS tapes were discarded by Jeanine Wine following the digitization process because the tapes were over twenty years old and were only in a state of deterioration.  The best digital copy had been made.
