Bio History Note

Edward Willkie was brother to politician, Wendell Wilkie, and Manchester College Professor, Julia Willkie. Edward attended the Manchester College Academy. During this time his sister, Julia, was a professor at Manchester College.

The article was written in August of 2008 when the town of Elwood, Willkie's hometown, had another Olympic competitor, Mary Beth Dunnichay, who would be competing as a diver in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
