Larry's son writes,

"...something mom has been saving for us and just gave a copy to me...

this was the speech my dad gave in 1951 (while at Manchester) with which he wom the national oratory contest sponsored by the interstate oratorical association...for this he won a gold medal and a $25 check...

...

...this from someone who immigrated as a non-english speaking kid at the age of 6...

this was pre- his marching in the south to gain voters rights and much of his other community work...."

Larry Wong graduated from Manchester College in 1951, the year that he presented the speech, "Every One of Them."
