Scope and Content

2 June 1895 Certified Articles of Association (with handwritten revisions).

15 June 1895 Memorandum of Agreement between the Citizens' Committee of the town of North Manchester and the Committee representing the German Baptist College which proposes to locate at this point.

28 June 1895 articles of association (charters) filed in the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Indiana, 9 March 1891 for "Manchester College" and "The Bible School."

1902 - "Manchester College" is a body politic and corporate, authorized and empowered by the laws of the State of Indiana to proceed to carry out the objects of its organization, signed by Hunt, Secretary of State.

Other copy of Articles of Association with Trustee requirements.

11 July 1919 - verified copy of the 1895 Charter and Articles of Association - showing a historical account of the formation of Manchester College and The Bible School, including role of trustees and relationship with the German Baptist Brethren.

Secretary of State, Ed Jackson, provides copy of 1902 articles of incorporation on 23 September 1920.

1942 resolution continuing to 1944 - Burns Indiana Statutes--Annotated.---1933 25-3202 (5290) Acquiring and Conveying Property...Department of State Certificate - Articles of Association 17 September 1902 {Misc Record S p 466} - 1 January 1944 authorization of Schwalm (President), Ikenberry (Treasurer), to execute all instruments pertaining to the business of Manchester College (list given).1946 receipt from the Secretary of State, Indiana in the amount of $1.40 regarding certified copies regarding Articles of Incorporation and "Above Corp." - envelope "Certified Copy of Articles of Incorporation. - Handwritten note, "Received form Manchester College - Copy - Articles of Incorporation Manchester College - Articles of Incorporation College Foundation - Holding Company - Signed Clay Syler, 12-25-54.

Charter - Manchester College Foundation and Holding Company, Revised November 1956 {copies in safe and in safe deposit box}. - copy of 1902 charter - copy of document filed 16 January 1931 - containment enveloped for these materials.
