Bio History Note

Warren Garner was a professor of Education at Manchester College from 1967 - 1989.  He chaired the department.


Warren Garner's mother's father was Henry Barkdoll, who was married twice:

Henry Barkdoll and his first wife had two children; Naomi and Hazel.

Henry Barkdoll and his second wife (Sadie) had several children.  One of these children was Kathryn Barkdoll, the mother of Warren Garner. Sadie Barkdoll would be  Warren Garner's grandmother.

Some notes:

11 January 1882 - letter to Henry and Sadie Barkdoll regarding the death of little Bertha from George and Elizabeth.

10 February 1989 - letter to parents from Sadie Barkdoll filled with news of children and church.

March 31 1884 - "The girls must mean business they are all getting married."
