Bio History Note

The 1948 "Aurora" is interesting in that Jean Childs Young's sister was selected as a May Day attendant, yet on the same page is a man in dark face singing "Mammie." One of the cast members in a theatrical production also wears "blackface."

Harry McNeary, playing the piano in one of the photographs below, is African American.
