Scope and Content

Two copies of the book written by Manchester College's first Church of the Brethren president, E. S. Young, "The Life of Christ, a Harmony, Of The Four Gospels, With Nine Maps, Tracing all of the Journeys of Jesus, and Giving all of the Events in a Chronological Order and Time of Their Occurrence," 1898.

The first edition of this book was donated to Manchester by Mrs. Clifford Koon. This printing includes 1898, Bible Student Publishing Co., North Manchester, Ind., entered according to act of Congress in the year of our Lord, 1898, by E. S.Young, North Manchester, nd., in the office of Librarian of Congress, Washington, D.C.

The 1902 edition belonged to the library of G. S. Strausbaugh of Fredericktown, Ohio (inscription). This is the 3rd edition, 1902 by "The Bible Student Co., Publishers, No. 1338 Fulton Street, Canton, Ohio.

Bio History NoteThe first edition includes an inscription by A. C.(?) Young, Mt. Pleasant Bible School, Feb. 7; 1899.  E. M. Cobb, Teacher.   A note to Ferne Baldwin by Mrs. Clifford Koon is also included within the book.
