Nine slides of Barry Goldwater made by Professor James R. C. Adams upon Mr. Goldwater's visit to the Manchester College campus during February 1968. Six of the slides were scanned and are located on the Archives' Network [Y:] in folder titled Goldwater, Barry.

Bio History NoteGoldwater's visit to campus was made to appease townspeople who were unhappy over the presence of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The unrest stemmed from King's opposition to the War in Vietnam. Goldwater was in support of the war and presented a differing viewpoint.
