Scope and Content

Slides in carousels along with slides in sleeves and boxes marked with red X's have not been scanned to date.

471 scanned images created from Allen's slides range from 1978 - 1990 and record trips to China, India, and unidentified locations. The dates on many of these images were taken from the photo processing package and do not identify the actual date the pictures were taken. They are located on the archives network in folder titled, Brethren Colleges Abroad_Media. Some of the subjects follow:

Lake Shikotsu, Japan.

1990, May 1 (processing date) - film packet marked "Bangkok & cobra show" - pictures of women in canoes at outdoor market selling fish and trinkets - additional pictures of cobra show.

China

and many other countries and subjects.....

One video clip and one MP4 Video record Brethren Colleges Abroad programs 1996.

One audio file recorded by Al Deeter in India during 1969 sabbatical.  It includes material on Gandhi, Jaya Arnnachalam (sp?), and a message to Deeter's father, R. C. Deeter.

One television documentary on India (for educational purposes only, not for reproduction).

1988 Wave Sound file regarding contacts in Sapporo Japan and material related to Dr. Dabashi.

Remnants of slide collection, including but not limited to sculptures by C. E. Kent (1982), Manchester pictures possibly used for promotion of BCA (I am not sure who wrote MC, US for BCA promo on the slide package - if it was Deeter or a 2018 student worker in the archives?), picture packet identified as "good Hong Kong," several photo processing packages that might be helpful for identification purposes in the future.
