Bio History Note

Olive (Bagwell) Stinebaugh was a member of the Manchester College Class of 1925.

The following is taken from the "History of the Church of the Brethren in Indiana," 1952, pg. 441:

E. B. Bagwell was born in Virginia (F26 Feb. 1861) and moved to Ohio when he was seventeen.  He married Mary Elizabeth Niswonger (1884) and was called to the ministry about the same time. E was advanced to the eldship in Ohio some years before moving to North Manchester (1920). He pastored the Olivet and Bremen churches in Ohio. Shortly before moving to Indiana he became a field representative of Manchester College.  He held that position until after he moved until about 1938.  Bagwell died on 6 July 1940 and was in his 80th year.  He fathered eleven children and preached widely in the churches during the period of nearly twenty years of employment by Manchester College.
