Documented letters originated from the Estate of Dr. O. Stuart and wife, A. Gertrude (Sharp) Hamer.

Statement of Purpose regarding the demonstrations in Selma, Alabama - digitized and in the Hamer, Stuart Faculty Staff_Collection folder on the archives network location.

Dr. O. Stuart Hamer served Manchester as a Professor in the Education Department from1931-1952.  O. Stuart died Nov. 1955.  A. Gertrude (Sharp) Hamer died Aug. 1973.
