Bio History Note

A. Blair Helman, Manchester College President Emeritus, served as president from 1956-1986.

From a brochure:  "The NEW UNION is a solution to the continuing problem of communication on the Manchester College campus.  The NEW UNION is a powerful arm of the students, comprised of student workers and dedicated to serve the purpose of stimulating communication on this campus between the student workers and the administrators and between the administration and the student body.  The NEW UNION is the first significant manifestation of true participatory education on the Manchester College campus."
