Bio History Note

Manchester Church of the Brethren is part of the South Central Indiana District of the Church of the Brethren.  The Church has its own Archives and historical library and much information is kept there. 

Excerpted rom the Dedicatory Service bulletin, 1951: 

The first church house on Walnut Street was built in 1881. 

In 1907 a larger church was built on the same site, replacing the old one.

An Educational Unit was added to the East side of the church in 1925.

The corner stone for the building being dedicated was laid 24 September 1950.  

Additional information:

It appears that a new addition was built in 1981.

This church burned in (    ) and a facility was constructed at a new location.
