Watch a classic film in the language of love this Valentines Day! This classic love story depicts the ups and downs of a newlywed couple’s first months living together on a river barge with a gruff first mate and a band of unruly cats. As initial marital bliss fades into eventual routine, the couple begins to question their life together. Jean Vigo’s 1934 masterpiece about love, longing, and loneliness is often hailed as one of the most beautiful films of early French cinema. A short discussion led by Dr. Tara Smithson will follow the film.
