Whitney Caudill is the vice president for human resources and strategic initiatives. Caudill leads University-wide human resources operations, strategic communications, new program development and executive education programs for corporate partners. She is also an associate professor teaching pharmacy law and related subjects in the pharmacy program. She has previously served Manchester’s as Title IX Coordinator and vice president leading marketing and enrollment.
A native of Grundy, Va., and a licensed attorney, Caudill joined the University’s pharmacy program as associate dean for administration and finance in 2011. As associate dean as well as managing the College of Pharmacy's non-academic operations, she was a key player in the design and construction process of the University’s Fort Wayne campus.
Prior to joining Manchester University, she most recently served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer, associate general counsel and assistant professor at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in Oakwood, Va. In her tenure at Appalachian she also served as assistant dean for students and acting dean. Prior to her work at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy, she practiced civil litigation with the law firm of Penn, Stuart & Eskridge in Abingdon, Va. Her law practice specialized in civil litigation, including insurance defense, real estate and eminent domain matters.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in government from University of Virginia and her doctor of jurisprudence degree from University of Tennessee College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Tennessee, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Actively engaged in the community, Caudill serves on various non-profit boards and committees in Allen County, including the Embassy Theatre, YWCA, and Canterbury School Community Advisory Board. She is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne.
