Spartan Payment Plans

Manchester University offers Spartan Payment Plans to help families manage the cost of financing a college education.  The Spartan Payment Plan offers interest-free, monthly payments. Payments are due on the 1st of each month. Each plan has a setup fee that is paid when enrolling in the plan.  Payments received more than 5 (five) days past the due date will be assessed a late fee of $30.00. Automatic payments can be scheduled during initial enrollment using an echeck (checking/savings account) or by debit/credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). Note: Payment plan payments are subject to change by adding/dropping courses and changes in financial aid.

Enrollment in a Spartan Payment Plan can be accessed through the Student Account Center on the Student ChetNet. Authorized users, parents or others designated by the student can login here. Not an authorized user? Ask your student to login and send you a request.

IMPORTANT: Returning students may enroll in a Spartan Payment Plan once the fall semester has been activated in the Student Account Center in late May. First year students may enroll one week after orientation in June.

Yearly Payment Plans
A yearly payment plan can be achieved by enrolling in a Spartan Gold or Silver plan below. Each plan consists of a fall payment plan with an automatic rollover into a spring payment plan.  The setup fee for a yearly plan is $45.00; schedule automatic payments during initial enrollment and Manchester University will waive the setup fee. If you schedule automatic payments in the fall, your spring payments will be automatically scheduled for you at the time of rollover.

  • 10 month payment plan
  • 5 fall payments July 1 to November 1

Spartan Silver
  • 11 month payment plan
  • 6 fall payments June 1 to November 1
  • 5 spring payments December 1 to April 1
  • Automatic rollover to Spring 5 plan November 20
  • Payment due on the 1st of each month
  • $45.00 setup fee, waived with automatic payments
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)

Spartan Bronze
  • 9 month payment plan
  • 4 fall payments August 1 to November 1
  • 5 spring payments December 1 to April 1
  • Automatic rollover to Spring 5 plan November 20

  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)

Semester Payment Plans

There are one semester payment plans available for fall and/or spring. A one semester payment plan has a setup fee of $30.00. An option is available to schedule automatic payments during initial enrollment.

Fall Only Payment Plans

Fall 6
  • 6 payments June 1 to November 1
  • Payment due on the 1st of each month
  • $30.00 setup fee
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)



Fall 5
  • 5 payments July 1 to November 1
  • Payment due on the 1st of each month
  • $30.00 setup fee
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)



Fall 4
  • 4 payments August 1 to November 1
  • Payment due on the 1st of each month
  • $30.00 setup fee
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)


Spring Payment Plans

*These plans are not available for enrollment until November.

Spring 5
  • 5 payments December 1 to April 1
  • Payment due on 1st of each month
  • $30.00 setup fee -- waived if in Gold, Silver or Bronze plan
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)
Spring 4
  • 4 payments January 1 to April 1
  • Payment due on 1st of each month
  • $30.00 setup fee
  • Late fee $30.00 charged on the 6th (5 day grace)



Enrollment by Mail
  • Only Semester Payment Plans are available for enrollment by mail. Yearly plans must be enrolled online in the fall
  • Print the Enrollment form and mail to Student Financial Services
  • Enclose setup fee and first payment (if due)
  • Fall Initial Enrollment Plan form ($30.00 setup fee)

Additional Information

How do I enroll in a payment plan?
  • Click the "Payment Plans" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click "Enroll Now."
  • Select a term and click “Select."
  • Available payment plans will show on the screen. Select a payment plan from the drop-down box (if there is more than one to choose from). Click "Select."
  • Click "Continue" at the bottom of the screen.
  • The screen will show charges and credits.
  • Click "Display Payment Schedule." Installment amounts and due dates will be displayed.
  • Select Yes or No to the "Set up Automatic Payments" at the bottom of the page. Click "Continue."
  • Enter the payment method, click “Select." Enter required payment information and click "Continue."
What is the difference between Scheduled Payments and Payment Plan Installments?

Scheduled Payments will be automatically paid on the due date specified in the Payment Schedule. A saved payment method must be used to make the automatic payment.

Payment Plan Installments will not be paid automatically. Payment must be made manually by the due date each month.

How do I pay my monthly payment plan installment?
Scheduled, automatic monthly payments can be set up during payment plan enrollment. If not enrolled in scheduled payments, monthly installment payments can be paid online through the Student Account Center. Click the “Payments” tab and select “Schedule” or “Pay” next to the installment payment due. Monthly payment plan installments (cash or check only) can also be paid in the Student Financial Services office. See the SFS Payment Expectation page for mailing information. Please include the student name and ID number on the check.
Can I make a partial payment plan payment?

Yes. To make a partial payment plan payment, click the “Payments” tab, select “Schedule” or “Pay” next to the installment payment due. It will default to the total payment due. Edit the payment amount as needed. Partial monthly payment plan installments (cash or check only) can also be paid in the Student Financial Services office. See the SFS Payment Expectation page for mailing information. Please include the student name and ID number on the check. Note: if the total payment due is not paid by the fifth day of the month, a late fee will be added to the student account.

I received a message similar to the following: ‘We’re sorry, you cannot enroll in XXX Payment Plan.'

This message is received when total credits, such as payments or financial aid, are equal to or exceed tuition and other charges. A payment plan cannot be activated with a credit or zero balance.

What is an Automatic Rollover?
Each payment plan is for a specific term (semester). Automatic rollover means the fall payment plan will automatically rollover, or convert, into a spring payment plan on the date specified in the terms of the plan. There is no action required by the student.
