Stop the presses! Oak Leaves wins 9 statewide awards
The Manchester University student newspaper, the
Oak Leaves, has won nine statewide awards from the Indiana Collegiate Press Association.

- Second Place, Non-Deadline Reporting: Rachel Laing, “MU Adds All-Gendered Bathroom”
- Third Place, Continuous Coverage of a Single Story: Kalie Ammons, Lucas Kauffman and Alexah Parnin-Choisne, "MU Reacts to HJR-6"
- Third Place, News or Feature Series: Emily Barrand, Alexah Parnin, Tyler Roebuck: “MU January Session Trips”
- Third Place, Themed Issue: Staff, “The Joak Leaves 2014”

Riley was also chosen to participate in the NCAA’s inaugural Men’s Final Four Photography Workshop on April 3-4. Only 10 individuals were chosen for this honor, said Dr. Katharine Ings, the newspaper faculty advisor.
