Audition Information

Students interested in auditioning for a music scholarship or admission into the Music Major or Minor must first apply for admission to the University. Following acceptance into the University, the Department of Music requires an audition for acceptance into the Major or Minor. Individual auditions are scheduled by contacting the Department Chair, Dr. Tim Reed or by attending one of Music at Manchester weekends. Students wishing to audition for both a scholarship and admission into the music department may perform a single audition serving both purposes. You may provide your own accompanist or we can provide one for you – be sure to let us know your preference.

Scholarships are awarded to incoming students every spring semester. We are able to accept auditions for scholarships through March 1st. The standing requirements for receiving and maintaining a scholarship through the music department is continual participation and good standing in one or more of our music ensembles on campus every semester. For further information about scholarships including amounts offered to students, how to schedule an audition, and information about our ensembles please contact the Department Chair, Dr. Tim Reed.
