Graduation and Program Completion Requirements
To earn the Master of Science in Nutrition and Nutrigenomics degree and Verification Statement, the student must:
- Complete all required didactic graduate courses and supervised experiential learning courses and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Earn at least a 2.00 (C) in each required course.
- Pass all supervised experiential learning rotations with a “4” or above for each required competency.
- Perform in an ethical and professional manner.
- Program requirements must be completed within 5 years of commencement of the program.

Requirements of the Profession
Effective January 1, 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) will require a minimum of a master’s degree to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). In addition, CDR requires that individuals complete coursework and supervised practice in program(s) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). In most states, graduates also must obtain licensure or certification to practice. Graduates who successfully complete the ACEND-accredited graduate program at Manchester University are eligible to apply to take the CDR credentialing exam to become an RDN. Licensure and Professional Regulation of Dietitians
The MSNGx program meets the education and supervised practice requirements for licensure in Indiana and to the best of our knowledge the following states: AL, AK, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY, PR. As of August 2021, Arizona and Michigan do not have licensure of practice or title regulations. Students should review licensure requirements for any state where they plan to practice.
