Jessica Maria Montalvo has dedicated her life to the diverse field of education. Jessica is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington, and from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne with her teaching Certification for Secondary Education. Later she earned a Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Jessica is currently working on her Ph.D. in Global Leadership with a concentration in Academic Administration at Indiana Tech.

Jessica has joined Manchester University as their Director of Student Services for Pharmacy Programs, College of Pharmacy, Natural, and Health Sciences on the Fort Wayne Manchester campus. Jessica is the former Director of TRIO Student Support Services at the University of Saint Francis where she serves first generation students and is a TRIO alumna herself. She currently serves as Treasurer for Indiana TRIO for the remainder of the 2017-2018 fiscal year. She also serves as a member of the Science Central Education and Visitor Services Committee, and is a member of the Science Central Board of Directors.

Jessica is an advocate for mental health awareness and has made it a life mission to educate others about the importance of awareness and education about mental illness. Jessica is trained in ASIST, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and Mental Health First Aid USA to provide initial help to young people experiencing mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders. She is also a certified Civil Rights Investigator and Title IX Deputy Coordinator/Investigator through the Association of Title IX Administrators, and is a certified mediator of Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment, level 1

Jessica is also passionate about the arts and has been a part an original musical theater production about mental illness written by James Wesley Williams, since its full-cast production opening premiere in 2014. Having been a part of the original creative team, she has served various roles such as Associate Director, Associate Producer, Photographer, Costume Designer, Marketing and Promotion Manager, Social Media Manager, Executive Assistant, and has been a part of the choral ensemble. She is currently a main character alongside Hollywood actress, Cynda Williams.
