Summer Placement: Cone Health, Regional Center For Infectious Disease

Internship Activities: Assist in data collection. Observe patient exams. Observe case management and social work evaluations. Observe psychological ads substance abuse evaluations. Assist clinic staff in evaluating patient records to identify patients who are non-adherent to medications or who have no-show rates. Evaluate patient records to improve screening rates and appropriate preventative care. Most of the time you will be observing physicians.

Summer Placement: Mouse INC; New York, New York
Position: Mouse Summer Intern 

Daily Activities: Interns will assist the Mouse staff in summer program coordination with the NYC Department of Education’s STEM Summer in the City Program, for which Mouse provides curriculum, training, and support. The intern will learn the curriculum at the beginning of the summer from Mouse staff members, help to train teachers at a professional development event, then ensure that all NYC DOE sites are delivering the curriculum with all the resources that they need to succeed. Interns will spend up to 4 days per week during the month of July at high school sites assisting with program instruction to students. During that time in the classrooms, interns will serve as aides to trained teachers.

Position: Cielito Lindo Summer Camp Coordinator

Internship Activities: The Cielito Lindo Summer Camp Coordinator will be the on-site coordinator of our bilingual children’s summer program. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing high school students who will serve as our program staff for each week of the program. The Coordinator duties would include participating in program planning, coordinating field trips, driving campers in our van, and on site coordination during the six weeks of the program. The coordinator will help to plan, promote, and schedule activities and will also work directly with children and volunteers. First three-week session - ages 8-11; Second three-week session - ages 4-7.
