Peter Shepherd can’t tell you who it was that showed up at Manchester University three years ago. He had the same name, but that’s the end of the resemblance. Since becoming a Spartan, Peter's joined several clubs and organizations, he's helped bring an area of study back to Manchester, he's played for the baseball team, and he's spent a semester away in Germany.

Peter's goal after graduation is to go into international sales, combining his passion for the German language and culture with what he's learned in Manchester's Professional Sales Program.

Advice for Students Looking at MU

Learn to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. You will find later, you learn a lot about yourself. It's hard, but it's a must. The outcome, empowerment.

CREATE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
As a sophomore at MU, Peter worked closely with professors and students to bring the German minor back to Manchester. "When I found out it was going to be a reality, it was simply a dream come true. I'd always wanted to study German, and having the ability to come to the faculty about it says a lot about Manchester. It shows how they really want to hear and do things for their students."

The craziest thing Peter did during his semester away – "Climbing the Alps in Salzburg!!"
